How far in advance should I book?

Same-day rides are usually available — call dispatch directly for fastest service. For scheduled rides, 24 hours' notice is ideal. Recurring dialysis rides can be set up once and run on a fixed weekly schedule.

Do drivers help into and out of the vehicle?

Yes. Every ride includes door-through-door assistance. Our drivers are trained in safe transfers, wheelchair securement, and oxygen handling.

What areas do you serve?

All six Hampton Roads cities: Norfolk, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, Suffolk, and Hampton. Call dispatch if your pickup or destination is just outside — we may still be able to help.

Are your vehicles wheelchair accessible?

Our wheelchair vans have ADA-compliant lifts, 4-point securement tie-downs, and oxygen-capable cabins. Ambulatory vans and SUVs are available for riders who don't need a wheelchair lift.

Is this an ambulance service?

No. LyfeCare Transit provides non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT). For medical emergencies, always call 911.
